Hello Melissa - Thank you for the welcome! Yes, I am currently working on my RN through online studies. I heard about Celebrate Moms on Moody Bible Radio out of St. Petersburg, Florida. Hoping to learn more! :)

Thank you for your message. School has kept me hopping lately and I have had little time to get on. I'm ready for a much needed break and some time to visit the website more.

I am so glad to know that someone else has gone thru this and "survived". I got to see Sandy McKeown speak and felt that I now had someone I could talk to. When I tell people Michael has ADHD they ask me what it is. Then others who have heard of it think it's a joke. After studying it a bit I realize that it is way more serious than just a kid with too much energy. Like your son I knew children who took the meds and they too were zombies. Michael is such a wonderful little boy with a big heart. He brought home magazine clippings of girls in bikini's and bra adds and models. At first I was terribly worried so I asked him what they were for. He told me he cut them out for me because they were pretty just like me. Tears immediately came to my eyes. I don't want to alter that wonderful personality. He is so smart and funny and caring and I don't want to change that. You are right though, they have so many different kinds of meds for ADHD now. I also discussed it with his teacher and she said that the clinic that Michael would be going to for meds sends regular letters to the school so that they can regulate how the meds are affecting him. I am glad to hear that they do that because the teacher gets to see the children the most out of a day and if their was a change for the worse they could report it immediately to the clinic and we have a better chance of finding the right one sooner.

Thank you for your comment and I look forward to talking with you more. Stina

I so enjoyed seeing your camping photos. What a precious family you have. You all look like you're having a great time. I admire your endeavor...my idea of camping is cooking and singing by the campfire until bedtime and then sleeping at the nearest hotel. No toilet and the spiders scare me away from the authentic adventure. I like to think of myself as a camper but really I'm just a camping wimp. Thanks for sharing the pics. Lizzie
