Fuzzy Lemonade (from punch connoisseur)

Looking for an easy, tasty party punch? This one is fabulously easy and taste so good, especially at summer picnics or parties because it is light and refreshing. Try some today!

Tart lemonade (It needs to be more tart than sweet. I have used Old Orchard brand that is pre-mixed, or Minute Maid frozen~ mix according to can. Not as good with Kool-Aid or powdered lemonade.)

Sprite, ginger ale (ginger ale adds more sweetness)

Mix 3 parts Sprite to one part lemonade.

For example, if you are making a picture of punch, place 2 cups lemonade and 6 cups of Sprite. You can play around with the flavor by adding more lemonade or more Sprite!

This is fun served at a summer shower because it is not heavy like other ice cream punches, etc. As a pretty final touch, float lemon slices in the bowl.

I created a wonderful and quick/simple soup the other night (God gives me inspiration when cooking for my family on a very tight budget)
Black Bean with Chicken Tortilla Soup

about 10-12 cups water in a stock pot
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 Tbl minced Garlic
1 tsp Onion powder
2 tsp Rosemary
1 tsp Sage
1/2 tsp Celery Salt
1/2 tsp Parsley
Dash of Black Pepper
2 Tbls Chicken Base (or 4-5 cubes Chicken Bullion)
1 lb bag of black beans
1 can Rotel tomatos

Boil the chicken in the water with the seasoningsfor about 20-30 mins. Remove from stock and set aside to cool. Add black beans to stock, boil at medium heat for about 1 hr or until tender. When beans are cooked chop chicken and add back to pot. Add Rotel. Cook together for about 20 more minutes so flavors blend (chicken will turn dark).
To serve put a handful of Tortilla chips in a bowl, sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, add the soup and top with a dollop of sour cream (and possibly some more cheese). VOILA!! Simple and delicious. Even my kids love it. Michele
